Abstract:
The present invention provides a surfactant which has good lathering properties, good lather quality and solubility even in a weak acidic range where the pH is equivalent to that of the skin, while having a low viscosity that leads to high handling properties, and which is applicable to personal care products (such as a cosmetic preparation) and the like. More specifically, the present invention provides a surfactant which contains an N-monounsaturated acyl acidic amino acid (wherein the unsaturated acyl is an acyl having from 10 to 16 carbon atoms) or a salt thereof.
