Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a pedal and a pedal hanger which can be depressed with a softer feeling than in the past. [Solution] A pedal 20 having a tread surface 22A to which a tread force is applied is configured as a suspended type by being attached to a lower end part 40B of a pedal hanger 40 rotatably suspended from an end part 30B of a crank 30. According to a suspended pedal 10 configured in this manner, the pedal hanger 40 pivots, and thus when the pedal 20 is depressed, a pulling force acts in a direction which attempts to rotate the crank 30. Additionally, even if some variation arises in the direction of the force with which the pedal 20 is depressed, the pedal hanger 40 can pivot appropriately to cause the force to act in a direction that pulls the crank.
