Abstract:
Suspension polymerization toner of a core-shell structure with positive charges comprises core-shell composite particles prepared by mixing composition forming toner core particles with aqueous dispersion liquid, carrying out a heating polymerization reaction to obtain suspension dispersion liquid of toner soft core particles, and carrying out a water-based polymerization reaction to form rigid shell layers with dense positive charges coated on the soft core particles. A preparation method thereof comprises: mixing a monomer oil phase forming toner soft core resin with aqueous dispersion liquid; carrying out a heating polymerization reaction after suspension granulation to convert monomer oil droplet particles to suspension dispersion liquid of toner soft core particles; adding a high-Tg shell monomer into an anionic surfactant for emulsification; adding the emulsified shell monomer and a cationic monomer into the suspension dispersion liquid containing the soft toner core particles for secondary polymerization after mixing, and cleaning and filtering. According to the invention, the cationic monomer and the toner shell resin monomer with high reaction activity can react to form resin layers with dense positive charges on outer surfaces of the soft toner core particles, so that the obtained toner is excellent in imaging property, low-temperature fixation property and transfer printing property.
