Abstract:
A loopback diagnosis method and apparatus for a management network port of a switch, and a switch and a computer-readable storage medium. The method comprises: a processor of a switch constructing a preset number of layer 2 broadcast packets, and sending the layer 2 broadcast packets to a management network port of the switch, wherein the layer 2 broadcast packets are broadcast packets using a preset layer 2 protocol, and a BMC of the switch does not support the preset layer 2 protocol; receiving layer 2 broadcast packets returned from the management network port, and counting the number of received layer 2 broadcast packets; and determining a loopback diagnosis result of the management network port according to the preset number of broadcast packets and the number of received broadcast packets. According to the present invention, when a processor performs loopback diagnosis on a management network port by using layer 2 broadcast packets, a network card driver of a BMC discards received layer 2 broadcast packets, such that the process of switching a serial port and manually switching off the network card driver at the BMC side can be reduced; and performing management network port hardware diagnosis on a driving layer can relieve the burden on an upper protocol layer, and reduce time consumption of loopback diagnosis.
