Abstract:
A system (1) for measuring oil viscosity, the system being configured to be mounted in a circuit for lubricating a cooling system, the measuring system (1) comprising: • a main body (2) comprising a vertical portion (20) mounted between the inlet port (23) and the outlet port (24), • a metal ball (3) capable of moving in the vertical portion (20) under the effect of gravity, • a detection device configured to measure the time it takes for the metal ball (3) to fall between a high point and low point of the vertical portion (20), • a computing device configured to determine the viscosity of the oil based on the measured fall time, • the measuring system (1) comprising a drive device (4) configured to magnetically drive the metal ball (3) in the vertical portion (20) from the low point to the high point.
