Abstract:
A system for monitoring the security and for first aid in any public or private place, comprising: (A) remotely controlled video cameras (20), whose images are processed using dedicated software for the overall analysis of the scene, the facial recognition of the people present in the area, the attendance count; (B) a totem (100) provided with at least: - a display (5) adapted to provide general information and procedures and conduct to maintain in case of emergency; - a speaker (6) adapted to emit pre-recorded audio instructions or to allow the reception of audio data in real time from said dedicated operator (520) positioned in said operating station (500); - a microphone (8) adapted to send audio data in real time to said dedicated operator (520);- a video camera (7) adapted to film the surrounding space and at least the face of the user who is interacting with said totem (100); - an identification device (10) of personnel for access to restricted areas to authorized personnel only; - a keyboard (11) provided with a key for each type of emergency that can be detected, the pressure whereof connects the user to the dedicated operator (520); - a housing (12) for a defibrillator, a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher.

Claims

1. System for monitoring the security and for first aid in any one public or private place, adapted to allow the timely intervention of rescue means (200) in case of fire, flooding, violent acts, robberies and health emergencies; said system being characterized in that it makes use of local devices installed in at least one place (600) to be monitored, adapted to communicate, by means of common Internet connection means (400), with at least one dedicated operator (520) remotely positioned in an operating station (500); said operating station (500) having access to at least one dedicated server (300), local and/or remote, having the function of recording and analyzing the images coming from each place to be monitored; said server (300) comprising a memory in which all the images filmed by said local devices and all the interactions between said local devices and said operating station (500) are recorded; said dedicated server (300) being adapted to provide, at regular and preset time intervals, a report regarding the security service offered to the manager of the place where the aforesaid local devices are installed; said local devices comprising at least:

(A) a plurality of video cameras (20), suitably positioned for filming the space to be monitored in its entirety; said video cameras (20) being remote controlled by said dedicated operator (520) which determines the orientation and the zoom thereof; all the images filmed by said video cameras (20) being processed by means of a dedicated software adapted to carry out, by means of suitable algorithms, the overall analysis of the scene, the facial recognition of the people present in the place (600) to be monitored, to carry out the attendance count, said software being provided with algorithms adapted to identify possible masking of the face;

(B) a plurality of acoustic diffusers (15) adapted to emit an alarm signal in case of emergency and, possibly, to allow the emission of voice messages by said dedicated operator (520) that can be heard in the entire monitored area (600);

(C) at least one totem (100) constituted at least by a load-bearing structure and by a base (4) adapted to provide suitable structural stability to said totem (100) on the floor; said totem (100) being provided at least with:

a stroboscopic light (1) placed at the highest point of said totem (100) adapted to be reversibly turned on at the time of sending any one alarm;

- a touch screen display (5) adapted to provide general information regarding the security of the place in which said totem (100) is installed and the procedures and the conduct to maintain in case of emergency;

at least one speaker (6) adapted to emit pre-recorded audio instructions or to allow the reception of audio data in real time from said dedicated operator (520) positioned in said operating station (500);

at least one microphone (8) adapted to allow the sending of audio data in real time to said dedicated operator (520) positioned in said operating station (500) upon pressing a suitable connection request key;

at least one video camera (7) adapted to film the surrounding space and at least the face of the user who is interacting with said totem (100); said video images being sent to said operating station (500) and saved in the memory (320) of said dedicated server (300);

at least one identification device (10), preferably provided with NFC technology, adapted to identify the personnel operating inside the place (600) to be monitored; said identification device (10) being adapted to scan or recognize said identification device in order to allow the access to possible areas that are restricted to only authorized personnel;

a plurality of keys (11), preferably one key (11) for each type of emergency encountered; by way of a non-limiting example, a key being present for health emergency and a key being present for the surveillance support; the pressing of any one of said keys (11) immediately placing the user who pressed the key in audio connection with the dedicated operator (520), while suitable rescue means (200) are sent from the operating station (500); a housing (12) containing at least one defibrillator (13) and possibly a first aid kit (14) and an extinguisher (2); the opening of said housing (12) causing the immediate intervention of the operator (520) of said operating station (500) and the activation of the programs adapted to report, by means of texts and images, the instructions for the correct use of the picked-up instrument; the opening of said housing (12) automatically sending the alarm signal to the suitable health and/or fire-fighting rescue means (200).

System for monitoring the security and for first aid in any one public or private place, according to the preceding claim 1, characterized in that said totem (100) is provided with an optical scanner (9) adapted to carry out the recognition of the users by means of the scanning of the retina and/or fingerprint detection.

System for monitoring the security and for first aid in any one public or private place, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said local devices comprise a plurality of access devices (16) installed at sensitive places, provided with a local video recording system adapted for analyzing the faces, in order to act as anti masking system and in order to be able to recognize a predetermined person so as to allow or deny access to said sensitive area.

System for monitoring the security and for first aid in any one public or private place, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said totem (100) is provided with an audio/video program management system structured for having a time programming of the same programs or accurate/timely programming with regard to events underway.

System for monitoring the security and for first aid in any one public or private place, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said totem (100) is provided with separate housings for at least one extinguisher (2), at least one defibrillator (13) and at least one first aid kit (14).

System for monitoring the security and for first aid in any one public or private place, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said totem (100) is provided with a connection to the water supply network and with at least one housing for a hydrant whose opening determines the automatic activation of fire-fighting procedures and the calling of suitable rescue means (200). 7. System for monitoring the security and for first aid in any one public or private place, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said totem (100) is anthropomorphous.

System for monitoring the security and for first aid in any one public or private place, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said local devices, installed in said place to be monitored, also comprise a plurality of light signals adapted to be turned on with continuous or flashing light, illuminating the entire monitored area (600), if any one alarm has been activated. 9. System for monitoring the security and for first aid in any one public or private place, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said local devices, installed in said place to be monitored (600), also comprise a plurality of smoke or tear gas dischargers (19) adapted to come into operation, upon direct command of said operating station (500), in order to confront particular types of emergencies.

10. System for monitoring the security and for first aid in any one public or private place, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said local devices, installed in said place to be monitored (600), also comprise a plurality of directional lights adapted to be oriented upon direct command of said operating station (500) in order to direct a light beam in the area where an emergency is taking place.

11. System for monitoring the security and for first aid in any one public or private place, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said local devices, installed in said place to be monitored (600), also comprise a plurality of laser pointers adapted to be oriented upon direct command of said operating station (500) in order to direct a laser light beam on the face or on the body of an ill-intentioned individual identified by said dedicated operator (520).

12. System for monitoring the security and for first aid in any one public or private place, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said totem (100) is provided with a staining device (3) adapted to emit any one staining agent on the body of possible ill-intentioned individuals in case of recorded aggression attempt.

"System for monitoring the security and for first aid in any public or private place"

Description Field of the invention

The present invention relates to the field of remote surveillance systems using video images. More specifically, the present invention relates to an integrated hardware and software system for remote management of security and emergencies in a plurality of locations by a remotely positioned operating station.

Prior art

A plurality of video surveillance systems that replace the armed screening of public places are known in the prior art.

Given the low cost of the technologies necessary to install a video surveillance system, this practice is now widely used in the residential sector. In fact, it is not unusual to see blocks of flats or landings under video surveillance, as well as garages and private roads.

It is obvious that video surveillance finds its maximum utility in commercial establishments or places open to the public at risk of robberies, such as, for example, jewelers, banks or entire shopping centers.

Even other public places where there can be crowds (theaters, cinemas, stadiums, ...) could make emergency operations much more efficient and effective in the event of violence, fire, flooding or other types of dangerous situations.

The drastic reduction or lack of armed guarding in order to limit personnel expenses has negative consequences that the present patent application aims to solve. In the first place, the presence of an armed watch is a strong deterrent for the ill-intentioned; in the second place the user, not being able to see the positioning and the images taken by the cameras, does not feel really protected; thirdly, the intervention of law enforcement or emergency assistance in the event of an emergency is not sufficiently timely. The reliance on images taken by video cameras for security, observed by operators at the operating stations, does not in fact guarantee an efficient system in order to detect and/or determine arising situations as the concentration time of an operator who fixedly stares at monitors starts to drop significantly after the first thirty minutes. This situation is also aggravated by any phenomena related to human judgment, or the assessment of the risk made by the watch who remotely observes the images taken by the cameras. These factors can contribute to delaying or canceling the necessary activation of processes linked to the detection of emerging situations. Some international patents, such as the Chinese patent CN 106 781 104, are aimed at monitoring sensitive places by means of video cameras. The mentioned patent, in particular, relates to the monitoring of a self-service banking terminal. The system includes storing the portions of video in which users who are stationed in a predetermined area around the terminal are clearly visible and recognizable. During video surveillance, an operator monitors any abnormal actions by those who withdraw the money. In this case, the system is able to block the action of the terminal both for the deposit and for the withdrawal of money.

It is clear that the invention just described, as well as other objects of patents, do not sufficiently solve the problems outlined above.

Description of the invention

According to the present invention, a system is provided which is capable of overcoming the above problems through technological systems installed on site and remote services at at least one operating station.

The present invention will be applicable to safety and first aid monitoring areas in a public place or open to the public.

The hardware components of the subject system are numerous and are all advantageously controlled, through the connection to the IP network infrastructure, through which, an operator of a dedicated operating station is able to monitor the transmitted images and act promptly in case of emergency through operational procedures that contemplate the activation of intervention processes and/or direct interaction through command and control interfaces.

A fundamental element of the present invention are, in fact, a plurality of video cameras and hardware interfaces which, appropriately positioned in the area to be monitored, allow promptly reacting to any emerging scenarios automatically detected by algorithms correlating events and/or specific requests reported by users present in the monitored area. Another fundamental element lies in the development of a system capable of combining ease of installation due to extemporaneous needs (such as events, exhibitions, fairs) and simple usability by users.

In order to best respond to these needs, a vertical totem is provided, about 1.80 m high, which can assume anthropomorphic features in some embodiments.

The same will have features of constructive robustness for a use suitable for its location in areas frequented by the public (preferably steel material). Access to the technological control facilities will be positioned behind the totem with doors protected by a key. There will also be a base that can be fixed to the floor to ensure stability.

In the top front of the totem there will be the human-machine interface technologies consisting of:

a touch screen display to provide general information regarding the place where it is located, such as, for example, the services and shops present, opening hours, current offers, sending thematic program listings for advertising, security and/or of safety. In the event of an emergency, the display will show the instructions to be taken to deal with the various cases that triggered the alarm allowing anyone, advantageously, to know the correct behavior to be kept or the use of rescue equipment. By means of said display, moreover, in case of request for support, the operator located in the operating station will be displayed;

at least one audio speaker, preferably at least one pair of audio speakers suitable for disseminating pre-recorded audio instructions concerning the behavior to be held in case of emergency. An additional function of the audio speakers is to establish an audio contact between the user and the operator of the operating station;

at least one microphone which, together with said audio speakers, allows direct communication of a user near said totem with the dedicated operator. This direct connection can be done automatically when the alarm is triggered or after pressing a special connection request button;

at least one video camera adapted to film the surrounding space and at least the face of the user who is interacting with the totem. Also images taken by this video camera integrated into the totem will be sent to the operations center and saved in the memory of the dedicated server;

at least one panel in which each key corresponds to a type of emergency for which the intervention of the operating station is required, which will immediately establish the direct audio/video connection between the user who pressed the key and the dedicated operator while the operating station sends the appropriate emergency services including at least:

o a key related to the request for medical intervention, and

o a key related to the request for watch assistance,

- optionally an optical scanner adapted to recognize users through fingerprint detection and/or retinal scanning;

- optionally at least one identification device, preferably provided with NFC technology, adapted to recognize a corresponding identification device supplied to personnel operating within the place to be monitored. Advantageously, with this equipment, by positioning the totem in an area with restricted access, access can be controlled safely and remotely, eliminating the need for keys.

To cope with health emergencies, the totem is advantageously provided with a defibrillator housing adapted to automatically signal the opening of the access space. Once the housing has been opened, the display on the first module will show, through texts and images, the instructions for the correct use of the defibrillator. At the same time, once the housing opening alarm has been received, the dedicated operator at the operating station will call for appropriate medical assistance.

In other more equipped embodiments, said totem can advantageously contain:

- at least one fire extinguisher adapted to automatically signal the opening of the special access space. Once the housing dedicated to the fire extinguisher has been opened, the aforesaid display will show the instructions for the correct use of the fire extinguisher through texts and images;

- at least a first aid box, placed in the same housing as the defibrillator or in a separate compartment dedicated to it. Also said compartment for the first aid box is adapted to automatically signal the opening of the same compartment to show the user, through the display, the instructions for the correct use of the material for first aid.

Advantageously, on said totem, a housing can also be integrated for at least one fire extinguisher, which is adapted to automatically be released when the key relating to the fire alarm on said push-button panel is pressed. Alternatively or in addition to the fire extinguisher, advantageously, the totem can be provided with connection to the water network for the operation of a hydrant placed in a further suitable housing adapted to be released in the event of a fire alarm.

Controlling the use of these emergency tools allows a punctual check of the efficiency through the activation of the preventive maintenance procedures thereof.

A stroboscopic light is advantageously positioned at the head of said totem which switches on automatically as soon as an emergency situation is detected.

The system for forwarding alerts for requests dedicated to supervisory aspects can be exploited by pressing the vigilance support key, to be pressed in case of requests to find the traffic policeman in the area or support for aggression or to report emerging events in general. Also in this case, the audio/video communication session will be activated with the request. The operator will be able to evaluate the entire scenario under observation before directing precise on-site interventions.

In the lower part of the totem there is the technical compartment dedicated to contain the components that make up the electrical power supply of the equipment present there, any magnetothermic circuit breakers, advantageously facilitating maintenance work in total safety.

The hardware equipment that make up this system, installed in the place to be monitored, will be advantageously chosen and placed on the basis of the specific mission to be carried out at the recipient site and the features of the place.

The system bases its function of remotization of security services, through the primary contribution consisting of the video footage of the context scenario, to which analytical algorithms are applied that assist the activities carried out by the operators of the operating station in charge of activating the intervention procedures to appropriate rescue vehicles In particular, the software used by the server dedicated to the present invention, is provided with algorithms to prevent the masking of the face, to keep the attendance count in the place to be monitored, updated in real time, and to identify in the fastest time possible abandoned objects.

Due to this fundamental feature, the subject system has the advantages of preventing, or in any case immediately stopping, acts of wandering, begging, thefts, robberies, pickpockets, violent acts, control of the attendance and excessive aggregation of people.

All images taken by the video cameras are advantageously sent to said dedicated server. Where access to an institutional database may be allowed, the face recognition function of the persons present in the area to be monitored may be used to identify wanted persons whose presence is reported to the competent bodies.

The subject system can be advantageously implemented with a plurality of access devices which are installed at doors, gates or other places with restricted access to authorized personnel only. Also said access devices are adapted, through dedicated software and integrated video camera, to recognize the face of the user who is requesting access. Some of the facial analysis algorithms used by the present invention allow blocking access to people who have their faces covered (access to banks, jewelers or commercial structures with access through compasses) in automatic form without requiring an intervention of the operator, allowing to raise the level of safety while maintaining the fluidity of the transits. This algorithm can also be used to signal transits of people in open gates with their face covered in order to attract the attention of the operating station operators.

Further indications derived by the integrated video-analysis systems will allow:

• detecting masses of people in rapid movement (actions due to situations of panic); · attempts to access premises and/or areas in a prohibited direction;

• excessive stay at facilities (ATMs, cars, etc.);

• attempt to access reserved areas or gates.

Advantageously, all this information and all the video streams will reside at a dedicated recording server, where a database structured with metadata structure logics allowing quick post-analysis on the events occurred containing the related specific video contributions stored.

In this way, after each intervention it is possible to draw up a report on the efficiency of the service and implement the measures considered adequate for a constant improvement of safety in the controlled place.

Said dedicated server, advantageously, is adapted to periodically provide a detailed report on the activity carried out by the operating station for the security of the monitored place, identifying possible suspicious actions, even if still without consequences.

In the case of an individual threat, the hardware equipment installed in the monitored location can advantageously include:

- an immediate visual signal through light emission;

- an audio signal of the event in progress, giving the coordinates of the point in question, audible at the facilities and/or any local control room identifiable in a specific plan;

- the selection of the frames relating to the attacker/robber that can be sent to the competent bodies and to the security personnel present on site;

- possible emission of a liquid, non-toxic liquid substance. Optionally, such a staining substance can be detectable, only through lighting with UV contrast lamps or similar, making the evildoer unaware of having been marked and allowing law enforcement on site to identify it by lighting the presents. If the objective of the operating station is to face attempts at theft, it may be useful and advantageous to install in the monitored area also a plurality of fogging systems activated remotely in the case of a detected emerging situation.

These safety features will make monitoring and management of emergencies largely simplified compared to what has been done up to now. With the present invention, in fact, the operating station, even remotely positioned, can act immediately and support the rescues efficiently.

The advantages offered by the present invention are clear in the light of the above description and will be even clearer from the accompanying figures and the related detailed description.

Description of the figures

The invention will hereinafter be described in at least one preferred embodiment thereof by way of non-limiting example with the aid of the accompanying figures, in which:

- FIGURE 1 shows the totem 100 with its basic equipment: the stroboscopic light 1, the audio speakers 6, the microphone 8, the screen 5, the video camera 7, the keys 11 and the defibrillator 13. To these is added optional equipment some of which is represented in the box on the side. In particular we see the Stainer 3, the fire extinguisher 2, the first aid box 14, the fingerprint reader 9 and the NFC reader 10. In the same figure we can also see some features of the site 600 to be monitored, including the video cameras 20, the acoustic diffusers 15, the access devices 16 and the gas dischargers 19. On the right of the image there is the operating station 500 with the dedicated operator 520 and the dedicated server 300 that communicate with the totem 100 and its equipment via to an IP network infrastructure 400. Emergency vehicles 200 are shown in connection with the operating station 500.

- FIGURE 2 shows a possible embodiment of the totem 100 which is the core of the present invention. In the front view (FIG. 2 (a)), we see the stroboscopic light 1, the display 5, the video camera 7, the NFC reader 10, the fingerprint reader 9, the microphone 8, the keys 11, the Stainer 3 and the housing 12 for the defibrillator. At the bottom of everything, base 4 is placed to give stability to totem 100. In the side view (FIG. 2 (b)) we see the speaker 6. Detailed description of the invention

The present invention will now be described purely by way of non-limiting or binding example with the aid of the figures, which illustrate some embodiments relative to the present inventive concept.

With reference to FIG. 2 shows a possible embodiment of the totem 100 which is part of the local hardware devices included in the system of the present invention.

In the simplest version, the local devices consist of a system of video cameras 20, a system of acoustic diffusers 15 and at least one totem 100, placed at the center or in a clearly visible position of the area to be monitored.

Said totem 100 consists of a vertical structure, about 1.80 m high, stabilized to the ground by a base 4.

All local devices, due to the connection to an IP network infrastructure 400, are adapted to communicate with a dedicated operator 520 remotely positioned in an operating station 500. The latter is responsible for calling the emergency vehicles 200 to face the various emergencies that may occur. The operating station 500 also has access to the dedicated server 300 on which software is installed for processing images sent by all the video cameras 20 installed in the area to be monitored. Thanks to the analysis of images, through appropriate algorithms. The software is adapted to:

- count the number of presences in the monitored area at any time;

- perform facial recognition of users;

- detect any masking of the face;

- detect any suspicious behavior;

- recognize users frequently present in the area and monitor their movements;

- identify any abandoned objects; - promptly identify any flooding, fire, structural failure,

- send periodically to the operator of the monitored area a report about any anomalies found, the interactions occurred between any user and the operating station 500, the actions implemented in case of emergency and other information useful for certifying the quality of the security service offered.

The direct instrument of interaction between the users present in the monitored area and the operating station 500 is, therefore, the totem 100.

In its preferred embodiment it is provided with:

- a touch screen display 5 adapted to provide general information regarding the place in which said totem 100 is installed and the procedures and the conduct to maintain in case of emergency;

- a pair of speakers 6 adapted to emit pre-recorded audio instructions or to allow the reception of audio data in real time from said dedicated operator 520;

- a microphone 8 adapted to allow the sending of audio data in real time to said dedicated operator upon pressing 520 a suitable connection request key 11;

- a video camera 7 adapted to film the surrounding space and at least the face of the user who is interacting with the totem 100;

- an NFC identification device 10, adapted to recognize a corresponding identification device supplied to personnel operating within the place to be monitored;

- an optical scanner 9 adapted to recognize users through fingerprint detection;

- at least a pair of keys 11 through which any user can press the key relating to the emergency that is occurring to alert the operating station in case their intervention has not been timely. Preferably there will be a request key of connection with the dedicated operator 520 and a key to signal sanitary emergencies. After pressing one of these keys 11, the direct audio connection with the dedicated operator 520 will automatically open, the face of the latter will appear on the display 5 and/or, in the form of text and/or images, the instructions to face the danger;

- at least one housing 12 dedicated to the defibrillator 13 and any other housings containing the first aid box 14, the extinguisher 2, a hydrant connected to the water supply. The opening of any of these housings will cause the immediate sending of the alarm signal and the beginning of the planned security procedures.

In addition to the video cameras 20 that are oriented remotely (from the operating station 500), to frame the entire site 600 to be monitored, the following will also be present here:

- a plurality of acoustic diffusers 15 adapted to emit an alarm signal in case of emergency and, possibly, to allow the emission of voice messages by said dedicated operator 520 that can be heard in the entire monitored area;

- a plurality of light indicators adapted to light up with a fixed or flashing light, illuminating the entire monitored area, in case a generic alarm has been launched;

- a plurality of smoke or tear gas dischargers 19, adapted to start operating, on direct command of said operating station 500, to cope with particular types of general emergency;

- directional lights adapted to be directed on direct command of said operating station 500 to direct a light beam in the area in which an individual threat is occurring;

- laser pointers adapted to be directed on direct command of said operating station 500 to direct a ray of laser light on the face or on the body of the attacker identified by said dedicated operator 520.

All these instruments are advantageously controlled and remotely controlled, by the dedicated operator 520 located at the operating station 500.

At particular accesses, as in the case of banks, jewelers or areas reserved for personnel, the present invention provides for the installation of special access devices which, by scanning the user's face requiring the passage, denies it or allows it to based on the analysis of the face performed by the already described dedicated software.

Finally, it is clear that modifications, additions or variants may be made to the invention described thus far which are obvious to a man skilled in the art, without departing from the scope of protection that is provided by the appended claims.
