Abstract:

A tactile stimulus providing device comprises: a tactile stimulus pattern generating device for generating first actuator intensity values corresponding to representative values of frequency bands of first audio data and second actuator intensity values corresponding to representative values of frequency bands of second audio data; and a tactile stimulus providing device for driving actuators on the basis of the first actuator intensity values and the second actuator intensity values. The number of the actuators is smaller than the number of the first and second actuator intensity values. The first audio data comprises information regarding a first direction, and the second audio data comprises information regarding a second direction different from the first direction. An actuator corresponding to first position information corresponding to the first direction is driven on the basis of only at least one of the first actuator intensity values. An actuator corresponding to second position information corresponding to the second direction is driven on the basis of only at least one of the second actuator intensity values.
