Abstract:
The upper end section of waste tape 150, which results from the removal of electronic components from a taping component comprising a plurality of electronic components and a carrier tape holding the plurality of electronic components, is guided by a protruding section 252 in the protrusion direction of the protruding section 252. Meanwhile, the lower end section of the waste tape 150 comes in contact with a restricting member 226, and the guidance by the protruding section 252 is restricted at the lower end section of the waste tape 150. As a result, the orientation of the waste tape 150 is changed from a vertically-facing orientation to a horizontally-facing orientation. As a result of the change in the orientation of the waste tape 150, the end section in the feed direction of the waste tape 150 faces downwards due to the weight of the waste tape and, therefore, the feed direction of the waste tape 150 can be appropriately changed.
