Abstract:
This temperature estimation device estimates the operating temperatures of an upper arm and a lower arm each provided with a freewheeling diode in an inverter circuit provided with one or a plurality of switching legs each including the upper arm and the lower arm. The temperature estimation device estimates the operating temperature on the basis of a forward direction voltage and a forward direction current of each freewheeling diode which have been acquired from the inverter circuit during an increased time width obtained by increasing the dead time of each of the upper arm and the lower arm from a default time width.
