Abstract:
An estimation unit of this temperature estimation device estimates the temperature of a temperature detector attached to a coil of a stator using a model of an electric motor. Coefficients related to heat transfer are set between models of components of the electric motor. At least some parameters of coefficients related to the heat capacity and the heat transfer of the models of the components are set to values different from coefficients related to the actual heat capacity and the actual heat transfer. The estimation unit calculates a calorific value due to the iron loss of a stator core in the model of the motor. The estimation unit corrects the iron loss so that the iron loss becomes smaller as the temperature of the rotor becomes higher.
