Abstract:
The present invention belongs to the field of polymer synthesis, and particularly relates to temperature-responsive poly (hydroxyethyl methacrylate) and a preparation method. Dibenzoyl peroxide is used as an oxidizing agent, 2-methyl-N-[3-(methyl-phenyl-amino)-propyl]-acrylamide or 2-methyl-N-[3-(methyl-phenyl-amino)-propyl]-propionamide is used as a reducing agent monomer to form a redox initiation system, water and methylbenzene are used as media, a nonionic surfactant is used as an emulsifying agent, hydroxyethyl methacrylate is used as a monomer, polymerization reaction is performed at room temperature and normal pressure to obtain the poly (hydroxyethyl methacrylate), and the alcohol solution of the poly (hydroxyethyl methacrylate) has a high critical phase-transition temperature. The present invention has advantages of simple and stable polymerization system, low polymerization cost, easy operation, mild conditions, small impact on the environment and low energy consumption, and having controllable product molecular weight and high critical phase-transition temperature within a certain range. Important significance for theoretical research and large-scale use of temperature-responsive polymers is achieved.
