Abstract:
The present invention proposes a novel thermal barrier material which is formed of an inorganic material. A thermal barrier material which is formed of an inorganic material, while being provided with a base material, a base layer that is superposed on the base material and a glaze layer that is superposed on the base layer, wherein: the glaze layer has such a thickness that the base layer is not visible therethrough, while transmitting infrared light; and the base layer is provided with a region for the reaction between a material of the base layer and a material of the glaze layer, and a main reflection region where the materials of the glaze layer are not present. A high solar reflectance (TSR) of more than 30% is able to be obtained even at an L* value of 40 or less by means of a preferable combination of the glaze layer and the base layer.
