Abstract:
One object of the present invention is to prevent thermal displacement caused by the heat due to mechanical friction of a ball screw and bearing. The present invention relates to a thermal displacement prevention device for a machine tool having a ball screw and to a thermal displacement prevention method for a machine tool having a ball screw, wherein the thermal displacement prevention device includes: a bearing (22) disposed at the outer circumferential edge of a ball screw (10) in a machine tool having the ball screw (10); a bearing housing (21) which supports the bearing (22); a space part (50) formed on one upper side surface of the bearing housing (21); a heating unit (30) having an external shape which corresponds to the internal shape of the space part (50); a temperature sensor (40) disposed at a position facing the heating unit (30); and a control unit (70) which controls the ON/OFF of a power supply device (80) supplying power to the heating unit (30) according to the temperature measured by the temperature sensor (40).
