Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a technology of allowing obtainment of a printed matter having a good quality. In this thermal transfer printing device, when a condition concerning a main power supply 400a is satisfied, a paper printing portion is moved to a first pause standby position which is defined nearer to the draw-back side of a paper sheet 10 than a first print standby position for the paper sheet 10, and an ink sheet printing portion is moved to a second pause standby position which is defined nearer to the draw-back side of an ink sheet 30 than a second print standby position for the ink sheet 30 by use of power from the main power supply 400a having been turned on. Thereafter, the main power supply 400a is turned off.
