Abstract:
This thermoelectric conversion element comprises: a first substrate that has a high thermal conductivity part, which has a higher thermal conductivity than the other regions, in the plane direction; a thermoelectric conversion layer that is formed on the first substrate and comprises a thermoelectric conversion material which is formed of an organic material and has a positive Seebeck coefficient; a second substrate that is formed on the thermoelectric conversion layer and has a high thermal conductivity part, which has a higher thermal conductivity than the other regions, in the plane direction so that the high thermal conductivity part does not completely overlap the high thermal conductivity part of the first substrate in the plane direction; and a pair of electrodes that are connected to the thermoelectric conversion layer and are formed of a metal material having a negative Seebeck coefficient. Consequently, the present invention provides: a thermoelectric conversion element which is capable of efficiently generating heat with use of a thermoelectric conversion material that is formed of an organic material; and a thermoelectric conversion module.
