Abstract:
Disclosed is a thread cutting mechanism for a sewing machine, the mechanism comprising a mounting block (1), a placing block (3), a rotating block (6) and a thread-scissor body (10), wherein the bottom end of the mounting block (1) is provided with an embedding groove (12); an embedded block (13) is embedded in the interior of the embedding groove (12); the interior of the mounting block (1) is provided with a sliding groove (2); a pulley (7) slides in the interior of the sliding groove (2) ; a second rotating shaft (11) is arranged in the middle of the pulley (7); the rotating block (6) is mounted on the top end of the second rotating shaft (11); the placing block (3) is mounted on one side of the rotating block (6); the interior of the placing block (3) is provided with a placing groove (8); two sides of the placing groove (8) are provided with insertion blocks (4); the top end of each insertion block (4) is installed with a shifting bar (9) and each insertion block (4) is mounted in the interior of the placing groove (8) in a rotating manner by means of a first rotating shaft (5); and the thread-scissor body (10) is inserted into the interior of the insertion blocks (4). In the thread cutting mechanism, by means of being placed in a rotatable receiving groove, traditional thread scissors cannot be lost even when not in use; when in use, the thread cutting mechanism is fixedly mounted at one side of a sewing needle, and by means of turning and sliding, a sewing thread is cut off by the thread scissors, therefore the operation is fast in speed and has a high efficiency.
