Abstract:
This thrust bearing for a hydraulic continuously variable transmission is a thrust bearing incorporated in a hydraulic continuously variable transmission (30) and is provided with: an inner race (12) that contacts pistons (35) in a piston chamber (34) of a variable capacity pump (32); an outer race (14) fixed to a swash plate (37); and multiple balls (15) held between the inner race (12) and the outer race (14) by a cage (16). The cage (16) is formed from a synthetic resin obtained from polyamide 66 and the content of glass fibers contained is 10 mass% or less. The present invention thereby prevents damage of the cage (16) due to delay or advance of the balls (15) when an eccentric load is applied according to the angle of inclination of the pump swash plate (37), and is able to increase service life.
