Abstract:
The disclosure provides a timestamp acquisition method and a time synchronization system. The method comprises: a first device configuring a first tag for a first packet to be transmitted to a second device; and when the first tag is detected in a physical coding sublayer (PCS) layer of the first device, acquiring a current time point T1 to serve as a transmission timestamp at which the first packet is transmitted. By using the described technical solution, the position of a timestamp of the first packet is configured to be the PCS layer, and timestamp processing is performed in the PCS layer, thereby greatly reducing uncertain time-delays, solving the problem of low accuracy of a timestamp determination scheme in the prior art, greatly improving the accuracy of timestamp processing, and improving time synchronization accuracy of the system.
