Abstract:
The present invention relates to a tire location registering method and device by using an inter frame spacing (IFS) pattern of a TPMS sensor and, more specifically, to a method and a device for identifying the tire location of a vehicle, having a TPMS sensor mounted thereon, by using an IFS pattern. To this end, the tire location registering method, characterized by the present invention, using the IFS pattern of the TPMS sensor can comprise the steps of: setting an IFS of a TPMS sensor (S10); repeatedly transmitting, by the TPMS sensor, a frame on the basis of the IFS (S20); and receiving, by a TPMS monitoring device, the transmitted frame (S30). In addition, the tire location registering method can comprise the steps of: extracting, by the TPMS monitoring device, a time difference between frames on the basis of the reception time of each received frame (S40); comparatively analyzing the extracted time difference data with the IFS pattern set to the TPMS sensor (S50); and identifying the location of the TPMS sensor on the basis of the analyzed result (S60). Therefore, the present invention has an effect that can identify the location of the tire without adding separate processes or components and devices, thereby reducing power consumption and product costs.
