Abstract:
A tire thickness measurement based method for detecting abnormal deformation amount of a tire, comprising the following steps: on the basis of the circular characteristic of a wheel hub, using an image processing technology to calculate a deformation rate of a tire, and comparing the deformation rate of the tire with deformation rates under the standard high pressure and low pressure, thereby determining the state of tire deformation. The method can achieve the detection of the abnormal deformation of a tire, thereby improving the driving safety of vehicles; and the method is particularly suitable for real-time tire monitoring of high-risk vehicles.
