Abstract:

This tire vulcanizing method is provided with: a step of closing a vulcanizing mold comprising a lower mold and an upper mold disposed over the lower mold, by moving a connecting body toward the lower mold together with hollow upper cylinders and the upper mold, the connecting body comprising a plurality of vertically extending supporting columns which are arranged spaced apart circumferentially around the vulcanizing mold and include hollow lower cylinders and the upper cylinders slidably engaging the lower cylinders, the connecting body connecting the upper ends of the upper cylinders and supporting the upper mold of the vulcanizing mold; and a step of vulcanizing an unvulcanized tire accommodated inside the closed vulcanizing mold. The connecting body, the upper cylinders, and the upper mold are moved toward the lower mold by actuating an elevating mechanism accommodated inside the supporting columns.
