Abstract:

A titanium electrode material with surfaces coated with nanometer rhodium-iridium coatings and a preparation method thereof are disclosed, relating to an electrochemical electrode material. The titanium electrode material with surfaces coated with the nanometer rhodium-iridium coatings, which has relatively large current density, relatively small overpotential and long service life, and the preparation method thereof are provided. The titanium electrode material is provided with a titanium metal material substrate, and the upper surface and the lower surface of the substrate are provided with the nanometer rhodium-iridium coatings. A titanium thin sheet or a titanium alloy thin sheet with the thickness of 0.04 to 4.99 mm is cut into a titanium metal material substrate with the length of 2 to 200 cm and the width of 0.99 to 200 cm. A rhodium-iridium salt is dissolved in a mixed solution of n-butyl alcohol and isopropanol to obtain a rhodium-iridium solution. The rhodium-iridium solution is then sprayed on the front surface and the back surface of the titanium metal material substrate. The titanium metal material substrate is sintered after being dried so that the rhodium-iridium salt is decomposed into nanometer rhodium-iridium coatings, then it is taken out and cooled into room temperature. The titanium electrode material with surfaces coated with nanometer rhodium-iridium coatings is prepared until 10 to 15 layers of nanometer rhodium-iridium coatings are prepared.
