Description:
TOILET COVER SET WHERE THE BUMPER EFFECT IS GENERATED MAGNETICALLY

Subject of the Invention

The invention relates to a toilet cover set wherein the prevention of the contact of the toilet upper cover with the toilet lower cover is achieved via magnetic effect, instead of positioning a bumper between said toilet upper cover and said toilet lower cover.

State of the Art

Today, the use of toilet bowls is commonly preferred in the toilet rooms and bathrooms. Irrespective of the type and model of the toilet bowl, a seat and a cover, i.e. a lower cover and an upper cover, are present in every toilet bowl. When in the closed position, the toilet lower cover directly contacts the toilet bowl surface, while the toilet upper cover contacts the toilet lower cover. The bumpers are positioned on the lower cover such that they are disposed between said lower cover and the toilet bowl, in order to tolerate the surface defects on the toilet bowl surface as well as prevent the shifting of the toilet lower cover. The bumpers are positioned on the upper cover such that they are disposed between said upper cover and the lower cover, in order to prevent the covers from damaging one another, or from damaging the hinge due to flexing. These bumpers are most of the time the bumpers manufactured from plastic.

In the toilet cover set according to the invention, the prevention of the contact of the upper cover with the lower cover when the upper cover is in the closed position is achieved via a push force imparted by the magnetic members, which are positioned on the upper cover and the lower cover, on one another, instead of using a bumper manufactured from plastic between said upper cover and said lower cover.

Object of the Invention

An object of the invention is to develop a toilet cover set wherein the contact of the upper cover with the lower cover when the upper cover is in the closed position is prevented without having to physically position a bumper between said upper cover and said lower cover.

Another object of the invention is to develop a toilet cover set wherein the prevention of the contact of the upper cover with the lower cover when the upper cover is in the closed position is achieved via magnetic members positioned on the upper cover and the lower cover.

Another object of the invention is to develop a toilet cover set wherein the prevention of the contact of the upper cover with the lower cover when the upper cover is in the closed position is achieved via a push force imparted by the magnetic members, which are positioned on the upper cover and the lower cover, on one another.

Detailed Description of the Invention

The invention relates to a toilet cover set wherein the prevention of the contact of the toilet upper cover (1) with the toilet lower cover (2) is achieved via magnetic effect, instead of positioning a bumper (4) between said toilet upper cover (1) and said toilet lower cover (2). More particularly, the invention relates to a toilet cover set wherein the contact of the upper cover (1) with the lower cover (2) is prevented owing to the push force, which the magnetic member (3) located on the upper cover (1) and the magnetic member (3) located on the lower cover (2) impart on one another.

The toilet cover set according to the invention comprises at least two magnetic members (3), at least one of which is positioned on the upper cover (1) and at least one of which is positioned on the lower cover (2) in a way to impart a push force on one another. Said magnetic members (3) are positioned on the upper cover (1) and the lower cover (2) in such a way that preferably the center of the magnetic member (3) on the upper cover (1) will coincide with the center of the magnetic member (3) on the lower cover (2) or said centers will be close to one another, i.e. the magnetic members (3) will overlap, when the upper cover (1) closes over the lower cover (2). In order for the magnetic members (3) to be able to impart a push force on one another, it is necessary that their surfaces at the same pole face one another. For this reason, the magnetic members (3) are positioned such that the pole of the lower cover (2)-facing surface of the magnetic member (3) positioned on the upper cover (1) and the pole of the upper cover (l)-facing surface of the magnetic member (3) positioned on the lower cover (2) are the same.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the upper cover (1) comprises at least one upper cover magnetic member housing (11), preferably as many upper cover magnetic member housings (11) as the number of magnetic members (3), in which housings the magnetic member/s (3) is/are to be positioned. At least one of the magnetic members (3) is positioned in the upper cover magnetic member housing (11).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the lower cover (2) comprises at least one lower cover magnetic member housing (21), preferably as many lower cover magnetic member housings (21) as the number of magnetic members (3), in which housings the magnetic member/s (3) is/are to be positioned. At least one of the magnetic members (3) is positioned in the lower cover magnetic member housing (21).

A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises at least one bumper (4) to be positioned between the lower cover (2) and the toilet bowl surface. In this embodiment, the bumper (4) has at least one bumper fixing protrusion (6). The lower cover (2) in turn has at least one bumper housing (8) which the bumper fixing protrusion (6) may penetrate. The bumper (4) is fixed on the lower cover (2) such that the bumper fixing protrusion (6) penetrates the bumper housing (8).

A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises at least one bumper pin (81) inside the bumper housing (8). The bumper fixing protrusion (6) in turn has at least one pin housing (61). The bumper fixing protrusion (6) is positioned in the bumper housing (8) such that the bumper pin (81) penetrates the pin housing (61).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the bumper (4) has at least one magnetic member abutment protrusion (5). The bumper (4) is positioned on the lower cover (2) such that the magnetic member abutment protrusion (5) penetrates the lower cover magnetic member housing (21). In this way, both the bumper (4) is enabled to be fixed on the lower cover (2) and the magnetic member abutment protrusion (5) is enabled to contact the magnetic member (3) located inside the lower cover magnetic member housing (21) to thereby enable the respective magnetic member (3) to be fixed in the lower cover magnetic member housing (21).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the magnetic member (3) is positioned on the upper cover (1) and/or the lower cover (2) via the overmolding method. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the magnetic member (3) is a magnet.
