The invention will now be described in greater detail, by way of example, with reference to the drawings.

Referring to Figs. 1 to 8, the toilet seat assembly as illustrated therein comprises a seat mount 1 installable on a top rear portion of a toilet bowl, a seat ring 100 and a seat cover 2 are pivoted on the seat mount 1 in a way such that the seat ring 100 and the seat cover 2 can rotate about a pivot point to move between an opened configuration and a closed configuration. The seat cover 2 is characterised by incorporating a fluid reservoir 5 being in fluid communication with an ejection means 4 by a fluid conveyance means 3. The arrangement is being such that, on demand, fluid can be transferred from the fluid reservoir 5 to, and dispensed by, the ejection means 4 for cleaning the genital area and/or the toilet bowl. Depending on the application, the fluid can be any type of cleaning agents such as water, antibacterial liquid, antiseptic liquid, and etc. Furthermore, the assembly may further comprise means 6 for regulating temperature of the fluid, the temperature regulating means 6 can be installed between the fluid conveyance means 3 and the fluid reservoir 5. Preferably, the regulating temperature means 6 is a heater. The ejection means 4, the fluid conveyance means 3 and the temperature regulating means 6 are preferably disposed within a housing of the seat mount 1.

In one preferred aspect of the invention, the fluid reservoir 5 is attached at an inner side of the seat cover 2 through at least one fastener such as press stud, snap-fit, nut and bolt, screw, and etc. The fluid reservoir 5 can be provided with one or more snap- fit tabs 71 or one or more screw bores 72 for the attachment to the seat cover 2. As such, the fluid reservoir 5 and the seat cover 2 can be connected as single unit which overcomes the following problems of the existing toilet seat systems: (a) the liquid receptacle which locates externally to the toilet is space consuming; and (b) the piping is exposed. Moreover, when the seat cover 2 is in the opened configuration, the fluid reservoir 5 would be located a level above the ejection means 4, the weight of the fluid can provide pressure to force the fluid through the fluid conveyance means 3 and exits the ejection means 4 without the need of pump.

Referring to Figs. 9 & 10, the fluid reservoir 5 as illustrated therein comprises an inlet channel 52 extended from the fluid reservoir 5, through a wall of the seat cover 2, and to link with a fluid inlet 51 of the seat cover 2 such that the fluid reservoir 5 can be refilled through the fluid inlet 51. The fluid inlet 51 is preferably disposed on an outer surface of the seat cover 2 and it further comprises means 53 for preventing the fluid from exiting the fluid reservoir 5. In one preferred embodiment, the inlet channel 52 is threaded and the prevention means is in the form of a threaded cover 53 which can be fastened to the inlet channel 52.

The fluid reservoir 5 also includes a fluid outlet 54, the fluid outlet 54 is connected to the ejection means 4 through the fluid conveyance means 3. The fluid conveyance means 3 can be in the form of piping pump. In one aspect of the invention, the fluid reservoir 5 may comprise means 55 for regulating the pressure within the fluid reservoir 5 so that the fluid can easily flow through the fluid outlet 54. Preferably, the pressure regulating means 55 can be in the form of at least one air bore 55 allowing only ambient air to enter the fluid reservoir 5 or air within the fluid reservoir 5 to exit so that the pressure within the fluid reservoir 5 is maintained at a desired level and the fluid can easily exit the fluid outlet 54.

In the preferred embodiment, the air bore 55 is incorporated with a one-way valve for preventing liquid within the fluid reservoir 5 from exiting the air bore 55. Such one way valve is replaceable with other structures which can carry out at least the function of the one-way valve and such structures can be formed at the air bore 55 to prevent the liquid from exiting through the air bore 55 when there is a movement of the fluid reservoir 5 along with the seat cover 2.

In one example, the seat cover 2 can be further attached with a reservoir cover 8 through an attachment 71 such as snap-fit so that a space 21 is formed therewithin and the fluid reservoir 5 can be disposed within the space 21. In this example, the fluid reservoir 5 can be partially or entirely made of transparent material to provide a see- through effect and the reservoir cover 8 is incorporated with a volume indicator 81 so that the level of the fluid within the fluid reservoir 5 can be determined.

The present disclosure includes as contained in the appended claims, as well as that of the foregoing description. Although this invention has been described in its preferred form with a degree of particularity, it is understood that the present disclosure of the preferred form has been made only by way of example and that numerous changes in the details of construction and the combination and arrangements of parts may be resorted to without departing from the scope of the invention.
