Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a record player and a tone arm capable of suppressing a tracking error and an inside force with a simple configuration. [Solution] A tone arm comprises: a first arm rotating about a rotational axis along a horizontal plane of a record; a second arm rotating about a freely-movable fulcrum in response to the rotation of the first arm; a motor for driving the first arm to rotate; and a control unit for controlling the phase angle of the motor such that while the record is being played back, the longitudinal direction of the second arm is placed in a tangential direction of a groove of the record at a contact position between a stylus attached to a tip part of the second arm and the groove.
