Abstract:
Provided is a toner for films which has excellent pulverizability and has sufficient negative chargeability. The toner for films contains a main resin and a low-molecular-weight resin that has a lower weight-average molecular weight than the main resin. The low-molecular-weight resin is one or more resins selected from the group consisting of terpene resins, alicyclic hydrocarbon resins, α-methylpolystyrene, modified rosins, novolac resins, modified novolac resins, aliphatic hydrocarbon resins, aromatic hydrocarbon resins, copolymer resins of those resins, rosins modified with an esterification product, coumarone resins, C5 and C9 petroleum resins, and derivatives of those. The toner for films contains the low-molecular-weight resin(s) in an amount of 5-40 mass% and has an average particle diameter D50 (volume) in the range of 9-50 µm.
