Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a toothbrush with which there is no restriction to the direction in which filaments flex during brushing, and with which the feeling of contact with the gums and the sense of cleaning can be improved. This toothbrush is provided with a brush portion comprising a plurality of filaments, a head portion having the brush portion on one surface side, a handle portion disposed at the rear end side of the head portion, and a neck portion connecting the head portion and the handle portion, wherein: the filaments have at least two branched bristles on the tip end side; the cross-sectional area of each filament in a width direction intersecting the length direction thereof decreases continuously from the root toward the tip end; and the tip ends of the at least two branched bristles are positioned inward, in the width direction, of the outer peripheral edge of the root of the filament.
