Abstract:
A toothed cable (1) provided with a core cable (2) and a coil portion (3), and having protrusions (C1) formed by the coil portion wrapped around in a spiral shape and recesses (C2) formed between pairs of the protrusions (C1) which are adjacent to each other in an axial direction X of the toothed cable (1), said toothed capable also being provided with a cover layer (4), which covers the protrusions (C1) and the recesses (C2) continuously with a resin, and a braid (5), which is wrapped in a spiral shape along the recesses (C2), on top of the cover layer (4), and is fused to the cover layer (4). By using this toothed cable, when the outer periphery of the toothed cable has the cover layer covering the outside of the core cable and the coil section with the resin, it is possible to reduce abnormal noise that occurs when the resin of the cover layer is crushed.
