A track inspection apparatus, comprising: locomotion components (2), configured to enable the track inspection apparatus to move on two tracks (3) along a first direction (x), the two tracks (3) being arranged spaced apart along a second direction (y); a chassis unit (1), provided on the locomotion components (2), wherein the chassis unit (1) comprises a first beam (11), a second beam (12) and a connecting rod (13), the first beam (11) and the second beam (12) are arranged spaced apart along the first direction (x), and the connecting rod (13) is provided between the first beam (11) and the second beam (12) and extends along the first direction (x), two ends of the connecting rod (13) connect to the first beam (11) and the second beam (12), respectively, and are rotatably arranged relative to the first beam (11) and the second beam (12); and a detection assembly, arranged on the chassis unit (1), and configured to perform detection with respect to the state of the tracks (3).
