Abstract:
Provided is a transfer device capable of easily and reliably adjusting the position and/or orientation in the planar direction of a workpiece pertaining to a narrow battery material. This transfer device adjusts the position and/or posture of a workpiece W in the planar direction and comprises: a first transfer unit 10 arranged on the upstream side in the transfer direction; a second transfer unit 20 arranged on the downstream side in the transfer direction; and an alignment unit 30 provided between the first transfer unit 10 and the second transfer unit 20. The alignment unit 30 comprises: a first rotating roller 31 arranged on the upstream side in the transfer direction; and a second rotating roller 32 arranged on the downstream side in the transfer direction. A workpiece W that has been transferred from the first transfer unit 10 can be moved and rotated in the horizontal direction while being transferred towards the second transfer unit 20, as a result of the first rotating roller 31 and the second rotating roller 32 moving in the width direction orthogonal to the transfer direction.
