Abstract:
A transmission system 100 equipped with: a first power transmission/reception device 110 that includes an oscillator that outputs a prescribed frequency of power; a voltage-boosting unit 140 having an electrical characteristic equivalent to a transmission line having a higher characteristic impedance than the impedance of the first power transmission/reception device 110, and the electrical length of which is one-fourth of the wavelength corresponding to a prescribed frequency; and a second power transmission/reception device 120 that includes a rectification unit that rectifies the prescribed frequency of power supplied via the voltage-boosting unit 140. In this transmission system 100 the first power transmission/reception device 110 and the second power transmission/reception device 120 each are equipped with a coupling electrode, and when the coupling electrodes of the first power transmission/reception device 110 and the second power transmission/reception device 120 are electrically connected to a transmission medium, a prescribed frequency of power is transmitted from the first transmission/reception device 110 to the second power transmission/reception device 120. The second power transmission/reception device 120 includes at least a portion of the voltage-boosting unit 140. The voltage-boosting unit 140 is configured by means of a circuit whereby a signal output from one terminal is delayed by 90 degrees or −90 degrees with respect to a signal input from the other terminal, and is configured so as to include the coupling electrodes of the first power transmission/reception device 110 and the second power transmission/reception device 120, and the transmission medium.
