Abstract:
When the size of a transport device as viewed from above increases, a larger space for placement of the transport device may be required, or it may become difficult for the transport device to travel through a narrow passage. A transport device (1) is provided with at least one drive wheel unit (3). The drive wheel unit (3) included in the at least one drive wheel unit (3) has a travel mechanism (4) and a steering mechanism (5). The travel mechanism (4) includes a drive wheel (40). The steering mechanism (5) changes the direction of the drive wheel (40). The steering mechanism (5) is positioned above the travel mechanism (4). In a state in which a transported object (71) is being transported by the transport device (1), the drive wheel (40) is poisoned in the vicinity of the transported object (71) when viewed from above.
