Abstract:
This transport device has a suction drum (30). The suction drum (30) has suction holes (301) formed in the outer peripheral surface thereof and open in the direction parallel to a horizontally extending axis (O), and sucks and holds tablets (9) at the suction holes (301). The transport device transports a plurality of the tablets (9) by rotating the suction drum (30) about the axis (O). In this operation, an elastic member (12) corrects the positions of tablets (9) which are held in abnormal positions relative to the suction holes (301) or, alternatively, sweeps away and drops the tablets (9). As a result, the transport device does not require a complex mechanism as is required in conventional transport devices, can arrange a plurality of tablets (9) at predetermined intervals in the transport direction, and can transport the tablets (9) while correcting the position of each of the tablets (9).
