Abstract:
The invention concerns a travelator in which the conveyor comprises a frame (2), a number of shafts (3) mounted with bearings at their ends on the frame (2) so that the shafts are mutually parallel, at a distance from each other and transverse to the transport direction of the conveyor (1), a number of belt pulleys (4; 41, 42, 43, 44, 45) coupled side by side to the shaft (3), and a number of mutually parallel endless belt loops (5), which form the moving transporting surface of the conveyor (1). Each one of the belt loops is passed over two belt pulleys on two different shafts. Each belt pulley (4; 41, 42, 43, 44, 45) is a mold-cast object comprising a first side (6), in which is formed a first aligning and coupling element (7), and a second side (8) opposite to the first side (6), in which is formed a second aligning and coupling element (9) fitted to match the first aligning and coupling element, so that the first and second aligning and coupling elements of adjacent belt pulleys (4; 41, 42, 43, 44, 45) on the shaft (3) in cooperation align and couple the belt pulleys together in shape-locking manner, forming a belt pulley pack (10).
