Abstract:
A treadmill and a control method therefor, the treadmill comprising a treadmill frame (401). A distance detection device (201) is provided at a position on the treadmill frame (401) which is close to a control dial (208). A first area (403), a second area (404) and a third area (402) are provided on a running belt (202) of the treadmill, the second area (404) being located between the first area (403) and the third area (402), the first area (403) being located on a side of the second area (404) which is close to the distance detection device (201), and the third area (402) being located on a side of the second area (404) which is far away from the distance detection device (201). The control method comprises: S101, acquiring the distance between a user (100) and the distance detection device (201); S102, if the distance is within the first area (403) of the running belt (202), increasing the current speed of the treadmill; if the distance is within the second area (404) of the running belt (202), maintaining the current speed of the treadmill; and if the distance is within the third area (402) of the running belt (202), decreasing the current speed of the treadmill.
