Abstract:
This treatment supporting device (100) comprises: an excitation light source (21) that radiates excitation light, before or after a treatment for killing cancer cells (201) by irradiating a drug (300) containing a fluorescent substance (301) with light in a specific wavelength band, said excitation light being in a specific wavelength band at an energy which excites the fluorescent substance (301) of the drug (300) administered into the body of a cancer patient (200) but does not kill the cancer cells (301); a fluorescence detection unit (26) that detects the fluorescence emitted by the fluorescent substance (301) of the drug (300) due to the excitation by the excitation light; and an image generation unit (16) that generates a fluorescence distribution image (41), said fluorescence distribution image showing the distribution state of the fluorescence emitted by the fluorescent substance (301), depending on the fluorescence from the fluorescent substance (301) detected by the fluorescence detection unit (26).
