Abstract:
Disclosed is an air sterilizing device using plasma and ultraviolet rays. The air sterilizing device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a circular plate-shaped attachment unit attached to a location at which the device is to be installed; a lower housing mounted to be spaced apart from the upper portion of the attachment unit by a predetermined distance such that an air exhaust flow path is formed in the lateral direction thereof; an upper housing having a plurality of through-holes through which air can be introduced from thereabove; an air flow unit for suctioning air from above the upper housing to circulate air toward the air exhaust flow path formed under the lower housing; UV generation units mounted in a receiving space and disposed adjacent to the opposite sides of the air flow unit, the UV generation units emitting UV rays into the receiving space; a plasma generation unit which includes two electrodes disposed adjacent to one side of the air flow unit in the receiving space and purifies air flowing inside the receiving space by using streamer plasma generated during corona discharge occurring between the two charged electrodes; an input unit mounted on one side of the outer surface of the upper housing, the input unit receiving a user's input signal and then transmitting same to a control unit; and the control unit mounted in the receiving space and controlling operations of the air flow unit, the UV generation units, and the plasma generation unit, on the basis of the input signal received from the input unit.
