Title:
ULTRAHIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYETHYLENE STRETCHED POROUS FILM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/146733
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene stretched porous film with high strength and heat resistance. This invention is an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene stretched porous film, comprising at least ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene with an inherent viscosity ([η]) of 7-60 dl/g inclusive and having a porosity of 10-70% inclusive and a rupture stress of at least 1 MPa when melt-stretched at 150°C. As the ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene, it is preferable to use ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene particles that satisfy: (1) an inherent viscosity ([η]) of 7-60 dl/g inclusive, (2) a bulk density of 130-700 kg/m3, and (3) a ΔTm (ΔTm = Tm1 − Tm2), which is the difference between the melting point (Tm1) on a first scan and the melting point (Tm2) on a second scan as measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), of 9-30°C inclusive.
