An umbrella, comprising a rib and a canopy coated thereon. The rib drives the canopy to be provided in a stretchable manner by means of a plurality of stretchable stretchers (12). The canopy is provided with a plurality of flexible tips (21). The flexible tips (21) are in the shape of the Chinese character "匚", are fixedly sandwiched at side edges of the canopy, and are provided one-to-one correspondence to the stretchers (12). Tail ends of the stretchers (12) are inserted into the structure of the flexible tips (21) in the shape of the Chinese character "匚". By providing the flexible tips (21) in the shape of the Chinese character "匚" and fixedly sandwiching same at the side edges of the canopy, and then inserting the tail ends of the stretchers (12) therein, the overall umbrella is kept smooth at the side edges of the canopy, and no excessive structure protrudes out of the side edges of the canopy to avoid the problem that a ferrule (121) or the tail end of the stretcher (12) is easy to hurt people and improve the safety of the umbrella.
