Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an underwater detection device and related technology that make more easily viewable display possible. [Solution] A beamforming unit of this underwater detection device carries out first beamforming (such as adaptive beamforming) in a plurality of inclination directions (depression-angle directions) within at least two vertical planes Pi (P1, …, etc.) and carries out second beamforming (such as delay-and-sum beamforming) in a single specific inclination direction within the at least two vertical planes Pi. An image generation unit generates first image data (data for displaying a detection image M1) on the basis of first beamforming data acquired through the first beamforming and generates second image data (data for displaying a detection image M2) on the basis of second beamforming data acquired through the second beamforming.
