Abstract:
Underwear, undergarments, articles of clothing, and method and system of producing them. Underwear includes a left-hip region to encircle at least a portion of a left-hip of a wearer; a right-hip region to encircle at least a portion of a right-hip of the wearer; a front-side region to cover at least a portion of a front-side genitalia of the wearer; a rear-side region to cover at least a portion of the buttocks of the wearer; and a waist region to encircle the waist of the wearer. The waist region lacks any elastic ribbon and lacks any elastic component, yet clings to the waist of the wearer. The waist region includes multiple layers of fabric, glued together in a seam-less stitch-less glue-based connection, optionally including a layer of elastane, TPU, adhesive film, or other materials. Optionally, a particular pattern of laser-cut holes in an external layer of the waist region, enables an observer to see there-through an internal layer of fabric of the waist region.

Claims:
CLAIMS

What is claimed is:

1. Underwear comprising:

a left -hip region to encircle at least a portion of a left-hip of a wearer;

a right-hip region to encircle at least a portion of a right-hip of the wearer;

a front-side region to cover at least a portion of a front-side genitalia of the wearer; a rear-side region to cover at least a portion of the buttocks of the wearer;

a waist region to encircle the waist of the wearer, wherein the waist region lacks any elastic ribbon and lacks any elastic component yet clings to the waist of the wearer.

2. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer.

3. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a first type of fabric, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the front-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the waist region is formed of: (I) an internal band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of said first type of fabric, and is encircled by (II) an external band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of a second, different, type of fabric.

4. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a first type of fabric, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the front-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the waist region is formed of: (I) an external band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of said first type of fabric, and which encircles (II) an internal band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of a second, different, type of fabric.

5. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a first type of fabric, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the front-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the waist region is formed of: (I) an internal band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of said first type of fabric, and is encircled by (II) an intermediary band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of a second, different, type of fabric, which is encircled by (III) an external band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of said first type of fabric.

6. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a first type of fabric, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the front-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the waist region is formed of: (I) an internal band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of said first type of fabric, and is encircled by (II) an intermediary band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of a second, different, type of fabric, which is encircled by (III) an external band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of a third, different, type of fabric.

7. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a first type of fabric, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the front-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the waist region is formed of: (I) an external band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of said first type of fabric, and which encircles (II) an intermediate band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of a second, different, type of fabric, and which encircles (III) an internal band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of said first type of fabric.

8. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer;

wherein at least one layer of said multiple layers, which faces outwardly away from the wearer and which is visible to an observer, comprises laser-cut holes in accordance with a particular pattern which enables an internal layer of said multiple layers to be visible therethrough.

9. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer;

wherein one layer of said multiple layers, which faces outwardly away from the wearer and which is visible to an observer, comprises laser-cut holes in accordance with a particular pattern which enables an internal layer of said multiple layers to be visible there-through; wherein said laser-cut holes are featured only in a first area of said waist region, and are not featured in a second area of said waist region; wherein said first area of the waist region, that features said laser-cut holes, has a first elasticity level; wherein said second area of the waist region, that lacks any laser-cut holes, has a second, different, elasticity level; wherein the first elasticity level of the first area of the waist region, is greater than the second elasticity level of the second area of the waist region.

10. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer;

wherein one layer of said multiple layers, which faces outwardly away from the wearer and which is visible to an observer, comprises laser-cut holes in accordance with a particular pattern which enables an internal layer of said multiple layers to be visible there-through; wherein said laser-cut holes are featured at a first density (Dl) in a first area of said waist region; wherein said laser-cut holes are featured at a second, smaller, density (D2) in a second area of said waist region; wherein a third area of the said waist region lacks any laser- cut holes;

wherein said first area of the waist region has a first elasticity level;

wherein said second area of the waist region has a second elasticity level, which is smaller than said first elasticity level;

wherein said third area of the waist region has a third elasticity level, which is smaller than said second elasticity level.

11. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an external band formed of Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) film, which encircles (II) an internal band formed of said fabric material;

wherein a first area of said TPU film comprises multiple holes therein; wherein a second area of said TPU film lacks any holes therein; wherein the first area of the TPU film that comprises multiple holes, has a greater level of elasticity relative to the second area of the TPU film that lacks any holes therein.

12. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an external band formed of Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) film, which encircles (II) an internal band formed of said fabric material;

wherein a first area of said TPU film comprises multiple holes therein at a first holes density; wherein a second area of said TPU film comprises multiple holes therein at a second, smaller, holes density; wherein the first area of the TPU film has greater level of elasticity relative to the second area of the TPU film.

13. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an external band formed of Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) film, which encircles (II) an internal band formed of said fabric material;

wherein a first area of said TPU film comprises multiple holes therein at a first holes density; wherein a second area of said TPU film comprises multiple holes therein at a second, smaller, holes density; wherein a third area of said TPU film lacks any holes therein;

wherein the first area of the TPU film has greater level of elasticity relative to the second area of the TPU film; wherein the second area of the TPU film has greater level of elasticity relative to the third area of the TPU film.

14. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein at least one of said multiple layers of fabric of the waist region comprises a sticky ribbon, and wherein at least one other of said multiple layers of fabric of the waist region is formed of a non-sticky fabric material.

15. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein an internal layer of said multiple layers of fabric of the waist region comprises a sticky ribbon, and wherein at least one other of said multiple layers of fabric of the waist region is formed of a non-sticky fabric material.

16. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein an external layer of said multiple layers of fabric of the waist region comprises a sticky ribbon, and wherein at least one other of said multiple layers of fabric of the waist region is formed of a non-sticky fabric material.

17. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein an intermediate, non-internal, non-external layer of said multiple layers of fabric of the waist region comprises a sticky ribbon; wherein an internal layer of said multiple layers of fabric of the waist region is formed of non-sticky fabric material; wherein an external layer of said multiple layers of fabric of the waist region is formed of non- sticky fabric material;

18. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an external layer formed of a sticky ribbon, which encircles and which sticks to (II) an internal layer formed of a non-sticky fabric material.

19. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an external band formed of elastane, which encircles (II) an internal band formed of said fabric material.

20. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an external band formed of elastane, which encircles (II) an internal band formed of said fabric material; wherein the internal band is glued to the external band via seam-less stitch-less glue-based connection.

21. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an internal band formed of elastane, which is encircled by (II) an external band formed of said fabric material.

22. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an internal band formed of elastane, which is encircled by (II) an external band formed of said fabric material; wherein the internal band is glued to the external band via seam-less stitch-less glue-based connection.

23. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an external band formed of Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) film, which encircles (II) an internal band formed of said fabric material; wherein the internal band is glued to the external band via seam-less stitch-less glue-based connection.

24. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an internal band formed of Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) film, which is encircled by (II) an external band formed of said fabric material.

25. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an internal band formed of Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) film, which is encircled by (II) an external band formed of said fabric material; wherein the internal band is glued to the external band via seam-less stitch-less glue-based connection.

26. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an external band formed of elastane coated by at least one adhesive film, which encircles (II) an internal band formed of said fabric material.

27. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an external band formed of elastane coated by at least one adhesive film, which encircles (II) an internal band formed of said fabric material; wherein the internal band is glued to the external band via seam-less stitch-less glue-based connection.

28. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an internal band formed of elastane coated by at least one adhesive film, which is encircled by (II) an external band formed of said fabric material.

29. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an internal band formed of elastane coated by at least one adhesive film, which is encircled by (II) an external band formed of said fabric material; wherein the internal band is glued to the external band via seamless stitch-less glue-based connection.

30. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an external band formed of elastane that is sandwiched between two adhesive films, wherein the external band encircles (II) an internal band formed of said fabric material.

31. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an external band formed of elastane that is sandwiched between two adhesive films, wherein the external band encircles (II) an internal band formed of said fabric material; wherein the internal band is glued to the external band via seam-less stitch-less glue-based connection.

32. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an internal band formed of elastane that is sandwiched between two adhesive films, wherein the internal band is encircled by (II) an external band formed of said fabric material.

33. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a fabric material, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the front-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a single layer of said fabric material, wherein the waist region is formed of multiple layers of fabric which, cumulatively, cling to the waist of the wearer; wherein the waist region comprises: (I) an internal band formed of elastane that is sandwiched between two adhesive films, wherein the internal band is encircled by (II) an external band formed of said fabric material; wherein the internal band is glued to the external band via seam-less stitch-less glue-based connection.

34. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a first type of fabric, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the front-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the waist region is formed of: (I) an internal band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of said first type of fabric, and is encircled by (II) an external band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of a second, different, type of fabric;

wherein said external band-shaped fabric layer comprises laser-cut holes in accordance with a particular pattern which enables said internal band-shaped fabric layer to be visible there-through.

35. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a first type of fabric, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the front-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the waist region is formed of: (I) an external band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of said first type of fabric, and which encircles (II) an internal band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of a second, different, type of fabric;

wherein said external band-shaped fabric layer comprises laser-cut holes in accordance with a particular pattern which enables said internal band-shaped fabric layer to be visible there-through.

36. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a first type of fabric, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the front-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the waist region is formed of: (I) an internal band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of said first type of fabric, and is encircled by (II) an intermediary band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of a second, different, type of fabric, which is encircled by (III) an external band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of said first type of fabric; wherein said external band-shaped fabric layer comprises laser-cut holes in accordance with a particular pattern which enables said intermediate band-shaped fabric layer to be visible there-through.

37. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a first type of fabric, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the front-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the waist region is formed of: (I) an internal band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of said first type of fabric, and is encircled by (II) an intermediary band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of a second, different, type of fabric, which is encircled by (III) an external band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of a third, different, type of fabric;

wherein said external band-shaped fabric layer comprises laser-cut holes in accordance with a particular pattern which enables said intermediate band-shaped fabric layer to be visible there-through.

38. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of a first type of fabric, wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the front-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the rear-side region is formed of a layer of said first type of fabric, wherein the waist region is formed of: (I) an external band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of said first type of fabric, and which encircles (II) an intermediate band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of a second, different, type of fabric, and which encircles (III) an internal band-shaped fabric layer that is formed of said first type of fabric;

wherein said external band-shaped fabric layer comprises laser-cut holes in accordance with a particular pattern which enables said intermediate band-shaped fabric layer to be visible there-through.

39. The underwear of claim 1 ,

wherein the left-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

wherein the right-hip region is formed of a single layer of fabric,

at said waist-region, gluing to said single layer of fabric, an external band formed of elastane, in a seam-less stitch-less gluing operation.

64. The process of claim 62, wherein step (b) comprises:

72. The process of claim 62, further comprising:

selectively cutting a pre-defined pattern of holes, only in a first area of an external layer of said waist-region, and not in an internal layer of said waist region, and not in a second area of said external layer of said waist-region; and producing a waist-region in which said first area has a greater level of elasticity relative to the second area of said waist-region.

73. The process of claim 62, further comprising:

selectively cutting a pre-defined pattern of holes, only in a first area of an external layer of said waist-region, and not in an internal layer of said waist region, at a gradually-changing density of holes; and producing a waist-region in which said first area has a gradually-changing level of elasticity.

74. A system for manufacturing underwear, the system comprising:

(a) an underwear-structure production unit to produce, from a single layer of fabric, an underwear structure having a waist-region that lacks elastic components;

(b) a waist-region augmenting unit to bond, at said waist-region, and not at other regions of said underwear structure, one or more additional layers of fabric to create a multiple-layer waist region able to cling to a wearer.

75. The system of claim 74, comprising:

a gluing unit to perform, at said waist-region, gluing to said single layer of fabric, an external band formed of elastane, in a seam-less stitch-less gluing operation.

76. The system of claim 74, comprising:

a gluing unit to perform, at said waist-region, gluing to said single layer of fabric, an internal band formed of elastane, in a seam-less stitch-less gluing operation.

Detailed Description

[0012] The Applicants have realized that a waist region of underwear and under-garments may cause inconvenience to the wearer; may leave undesired pressure marks on the body of the wearer; may limit the wearer's ability to efficiently engage in certain types of sports or sporting activities; may create undesired friction with the skin of the wearer; and/or may be undesirably visible through a garment that is worn over the under-garment.
