Abstract:
An abnormal piezocaloric effect material with negative thermal expansion properties is innovatively used in solid-state refrigeration and/or heat storage applications in the present invention. By subjecting a preferred material, i.e. NH4SCN, to an in-situ high-pressure differential scanning calorimeter test, it is verified that the abnormal piezocaloric effect material undergoes an endothermic phase change when pressure is applied, and an exothermic phase change when the pressure is unloaded, the pressure can effectively control the heat absorption and release processes of phase change, and heat can be effectively stored; and an experimental theoretical basis is provided for practical applications of the material.
