Abstract:
Valve control system (2) for actuating gas exchange valves (4) of an internal combustion engine having both an electrohydraulic valve-lift control device (28) with a hydraulic system (30) which comprises a control valve (32) for the controlled transmission of the movement of at least one cam (26) which is attached to a camshaft (8) to at least one of the gas exchange valves (4) in such a way that a valve lifting curve (44, 45) can be set within a valve control envelope curve (42, 43) by means of the control valve (32), and also having a camshaft adjusting device (14), by means of which the angular position between a crankshaft (12) and the camshaft (8) can be adjusted in such a way that the valve control envelope curve (42, 43) is displaced, and having a control unit (16) which is designed in such a way that, depending on current requirements, it optionally or in combination displaces the valve control envelope curve (42, 43) via the camshaft adjusting device (14) and sets the valve lifting curve (44, 45) via the valve-lift control device (28).
