Abstract:
Provided is a variable resistor 1A comprising: a substrate 20; a resistor body 40 that is provided to a top surface 21 of the substrate 20; a wiring pattern 31 that is connected to the resistor body; a spacer 90 that has an opening 91; a substrate 70 that has a top and a bottom surface 71, 72 and is stacked on the substrate 20 via the spacer such that the bottom surface 72 opposes the top surface 21; a connection body 80 that is provided to the bottom surface 71 so as to be positioned inside the opening, and is electrically connected to the resistor body by being pressed by a slider 100 from the top surface 72; and a wiring pattern 50 that is provided to the top surface 21 and is electrically connected to the connection body by being pressed by the slider, wherein, in a flat plane view, the connection body has a non-overlapping area NA that does not overlap with the resistor body, and furthermore, a sliding area SA where the slider can slide is contained in the non-overlapping area NA, and the resistance value between the wiring patterns 31, 50 changes in accordance with the pressing position of the slider.
