A variable speed control mechanism, a vehicle, and a gear control method, the variable speed control mechanism comprising: a base plate (10) and a fixing apparatus, the base plate (10) being provided with sliding channels (11, 12), the sliding channels (11, 12) being provided with a plurality of different gear positions; a handle (20) having an operating end and a sliding end, the sliding end being slidably arranged in the sliding channels (11, 12), and the handle also being provided with a mounting part (24); a first transmission part connected to the mounting part (24); a first polar plate part (50) connected to the first transmission part, a first magnetic field being formed inside the first polar plate part (50); and a fixedly arranged first sensor (60), the first sensor (60) extending into the first polar plate part (50) and outputting a first signal; when the sliding end slides in the sliding channels (11, 12), the mounting part (24) driving the rotation of the first transmission part, the first polar plate part (50) rotating with the first transmission part. The present variable speed control mechanism effectively solves the problem in the prior art of the short service life of variable speed control mechanisms.
