Abstract:
The present invention provides a vehicle adaptive following system in which a user of a leading vehicle or a following vehicle can easily ascertain compensation for adaptive following. This vehicle adaptive following system is for enabling a following vehicle to perform adaptive following by following a leading vehicle. A departure point and a destination point desired by the user of the following vehicle are acquired. A search is performed for a leading vehicle to be followed by the following vehicle on the basis of the departure point and the destination point. A travel plan that includes an adaptive following zone in at least part of the route between the departure point and the destination point is generated. Compensation from the following vehicle to the leading vehicle for the adaptive following is calculated on the basis of the travel plan.
