Abstract:
This vehicle air conditioner includes a compressor (11), a heater (12, 30), an external-air heat exchanging unit (29X) that has an external-air heat exchanger (22, 29), an airflow speed adjusting unit (22a), and a control unit (70). The control unit includes a melting control unit (701), a dehumidification control unit (70m), and a drying completion determining unit (70n). The melting control unit performs melting defrosting to melt frost adhering to the external-air heat exchanger in a dehumidification defrosting mode. The dehumidification control unit performs dehumidifying defrosting to supply at least one of heat of a volume within a range set in advance and airflow speed adjusted to a range set in advance by the airflow speed adjusting unit, to residual moisture adhering to the external-air heat exchanger due to melting of frost in the melting defrosting, thereby drying the residual moisture. The drying completion determining unit determines whether or not drying of the residual moisture at the external-air heat exchanger has been completed by the dehumidifying defrosting.
