Abstract:
This vehicle brake device is provided with: a brake pedal (81) including a pedal portion (811), and a lever portion (812) which rotates about an axis of rotation (O) when the pedal portion is operated; a housing (88) which rotatably supports the lever portion; a reaction force generating portion (90) which, by accepting a force from the lever portion when the brake pedal is operated, generates a reaction force (Fr) against the lever portion in accordance with a stroke amount (X) of the brake pedal; a deformable member (95, 96) including a deformable portion (953, 961) which deforms under the force accepted from the lever portion when the brake pedal is operated while the reaction force due to the reaction force generating portion is being generated; and a stroke sensor (86) which outputs a signal corresponding to the stroke amount, and which, if the deformable portion deforms, outputs a value (Vs_th1) indicating that the brake pedal operation is abnormal and instructing execution of control to stop a vehicle (6).
