Abstract:
A vehicle control apparatus (1) for stopping a vehicle regardless of a brake pedal operation by a driver (D) is provided with a determination process ECU (40) that stops the vehicle while varying the steering angle of the vehicle in accordance with the environment around a position where the vehicle is to be stopped. Thus, it becomes possible to stop the vehicle at a more appropriate position or in a more appropriate direction depending on the environment around the position where the vehicle is to be stopped.
