Abstract:
A convoy formation unit (13) determines a travel order for a convoy of vehicles (#1 to #N) in a manner such that a vehicle capable of being the lead vehicle is positioned at the head of the convoy and in the middle of said convoy by using driving control information collected from the plurality of vehicles (#1 to #N), and reports the travel order information to the vehicles (#1 to #N). When the merging into the convoy of an interrupting vehicle is reported by any of the vehicles (#1 to #N) traveling in the convoy according to the travel order information, a convoy management unit (14) determines a new lead vehicle from among the following vehicles which are following the lead vehicle in the convoy by using the driving control information, and separates the convoy into a first convoy in front of the interrupting vehicle and a second convoy behind said interrupting vehicle when the interruption by the interrupting vehicle persists. A convoy control unit (15) reports, to the new lead vehicle determined by the convoy management unit (14), travel control information which includes an instruction to allow merging to the front thereof by the interrupting vehicle and an instruction to become the lead vehicle of the second convoy.
